I am wondering if the crazy lady that has shown up at my house three days in a row, ding-donging, knocking in a demanding fashion, followed by being ignored, leaving, after placing one more yellow card in the mailbox, is getting tired of her newly formed routine; I am also wondering, does she get reimbursed for the gas and time she is wasting, coming to my residence, over and over again?
I used to walk my puggle, and man alive, garbage day was a bonanza for the pudgy furry. The part hound in him could sniff out loosed from garbage bag bones littering the hood, and because he was a greedy piggy like pup, he would wolf down ribs fast, so that I could not take them from him. When I did attempt to get a bone from him, he acted, you guessed it, like a dog with a bone: the warning snarling would start. accompanied by the threatening I-am-going-to-kill you teeth baring. Funny though, if I tried to take food from him in the kitchen, he was willing to allow this intrusion, but out in the wild, he acted like, well, he acted like, an animal!
The unwelcome woman that keeps appearing at my front door, is treating her visits very seriously, since today is Sunday, and she clearly does not take a day off for rest. How obnoxious can one person actually be, to themselves, when they know they are not only unwelcome, but clearly, unwanted, in so many ways, and yet, they persist, believing that they are rightfully doing their job, despite signs of constant rejection. Like I don't know, crazy lady, what you are doing at my door..
Out of curiosity, I decided to check-out census jobs, and you can too, but this is what I want to share with you:
The pay is outrageously high, between $25.87-31.32 per hour, and they do get remunerated for mileage and parking when on the job. I looked up how many Canadians are expected to complete the census, and the goal is 98%. The ding-donging-door-knockers will continue to attempt to get your information, if you haven't shared it yet, throughout the month of July.
Working 20-40 hours at this job, is most excellent pay, and employment can run 8-10 weeks. Let's do the math:
Part-timers of the basic sort, hourly income: add in expenses of gas and parking
25.87 x 20 x 8 = $4,139.2
25.87 x 20 x 10 = $5,174
Full-timers of the supervisory ilk, hourly income: add in expenses of gas and parking
31.32 x 40 x 8 = $10,022.4
31.32 x 40 x 10 = $12,528
There is a lot of money to be had working a very easy job, from the looks of things, and I can see why the old lady with the snow white top of hair, keeps driving my way and persisting in her efforts. She is doing the duty she was hired for, and it ain't personal for her when she wants me to do the governments bidding, and I surely hope, she knows it ain't personal at all, when I choose to leave her hanging outside my door, day after lonely day of her life. The job is easy, as I said above, but not so easy too, and it takes a dog with a rib bone stolen from the garbage attitude, to be as persistent as some of the enumerators.
Justin Trudeau says it is census season in Canada, and since the infamous leader suggests it's time for Canadians to give out their personal information, it means it is time to suspect, what nefarious business the government is up to now. I don't care if you think me paranoid, dear one... perhaps it would be wise, to think along the same lines, since it was the global governing body, that not long ago, shut down the world in a synchronized country by country fashion, for a pretend cv virus.
