What strikes me about this quote, is its verity. I think of the pilots purposefully polluting our air, water, and earth, for profit. It is the same air they breath, water they drink, and earth they are fed from, and yet, for payment, they take to the skies, releasing chemicals day after day, crisscrossing blue with checker board white, ignoring the knowledge that it is God that gave them wings to fly.
What a calloused existence, dear reader, to awake daily and repeat dastardly deeds committed month after month, without conscience, without fear of reprisal, without care that one day, the evil committed will catch-up with the offenders and they will be made to pay for the injuries they have caused mankind.
I have heard that Bill Gates is surrounded by bodyguards. I know his wife and child left him, and I wonder, why? What drove them from his company? Think now with me, how demons animate those that worship and serve the god of this world. While God's children have a hedge of heavenly protection, angelic warriors that are at the ready to do battle against the forces of evil on our behalf at the behest of our Father in heaven, people like Bill are want for good company. Imagine his daily misery, his spiritual hauntings, the shadows that dance a spritely jig all about him, at the ready to torment and tease, triumphing in the Biblical knowledge that he will join them one day soon, in hell fire. NOTE: if anyone knows The Bible, it is the fallen angels. This is why we must know it too, so that we are warned regarding the temptations to sin that the demons are confident will lead us to destruction.
Not that long ago someone suggested my mind was sick and twisted because of the description I gave for what happens to the depraved, the fearless and careless that commit heinous crimes against the Sovereign and his people. I did not defend my own mental soundness, or tell the reader that what I described was no where near as frightening, compared to what the Bible says will happen to murderers, and those that plot the demise of their fellow humans. Clearly, the person that accused me of being bent, does not read scripture, because if he had, if he does, he would not challenge me ... in fact, his trouble is with God's judgment, but his arrow was pointing in my direction as harbinger and messenger.
Which brings me to a pressing point: man cannot mediate for man, against God. We cannot advocate, we cannot convince, we cannot change God's mind, let alone his plan. To think we can do so is insanely arrogant. Each time a Bible believing Christian speaks scriptural truth, and is targeted as a harsh enemy, it is the accuser that belies what is going on in his own mind, his own heart, his own soul.
I told someone recently, Why attack me? Why not just admit you hate God and The Bible? Go ahead, fight with God, see where that gets you. It is easy to go after a weakling, someone that cannot defend themselves: bullish men and women take to flinging mud, stones, anything they can get their hands on, to sully Christians. Try as they might, it doesn't work: they only make themselves look angry, bitter, resentful, and dishonest. Looking again at the title of this piece of writing, I say, Don't fear me, I have no weapons of warfare to return your fire, except for prayer of course!, fear God ... he knows and sees all, and while he is long-suffering, he will not put up with our collective nonsense forever.
Take your scriptural pick from the following, dear reader:
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction
Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the forward mouth, do I hate
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding
There is more ... I invite you to look up Fear of the Lord in your own Bible but before you do, let us work on a quick synopsis together.
