Drum Beat

Annoying some
I am thinking about ex smokers, and how annoying some of them used to be to still smokers... ok that was a weird sentence, but you get what I am saying?!

Habit that is consuming
The ex smoker knows how hard it is to give up a habit that is consuming their time, money, and ultimately, good health. When someone makes a switch from habitual dependancy on something that is hurtful to their system, to being free from the enslavement, they will do their darnedest to convince others, that they will feel better too, if they give up the thing that has them in a choke hold.

The experience of feeling free, is something that the formerly enslaved simply must convey to everyone and anyone that will listen, and this brings me to my writing topic for today.

What is on my mind
Injured people, that have been subjected to something or someone that has caused them pain, often become the loudest voices, the well heard advocates, in our society. I will stop with the preamble, and tell you what is on my mind...

Many have taken shots in the arm that are causing toxic reactions in their bodies. If we just stayed here, with physical implications and outcomes from choosing these shots, we could be clinical and factual, but we are human beings, and not robotic in our approach to understanding ourselves and others. These shots, while wreaking havoc in the body, are also causing death for some... death of the young

Surge of exes
I propose we will see a surge of exes, those that used to be proponents of these shots, becoming the loudest voices, and widely heard advocates, for those that have fallen prey to the push to do what it seemed, everyone else was doing. These advocates, will have lost a son, or a daughter, and they will stop at nothing to ensure injustice is met with retribution. What they formerly proudly propagated, they will honestly and humbly admit, was based on mistaken perceptions and misinformed beliefs
  • Not everyone smokes, or used to smoke
  • Not everyone took those shots, or even considered taking them
  • Not everyone will physically, in their body, suffer the results of being injected with toxins
  • But everyone IS suffering, as a result of the many that have been injured and or have died
It is an impossibility for compassionate people to separate themselves from the suffering of others: when we see someone else hurt, it ought to move us to action, and at the very least, bring us to tears

Not so distant future
As I look at the landscape and what lies ahead in the not so distant future, I see devastation. I hear soul wrenching weeping, uncontrollable ear piercing shrills with spirit soaked sobbing, and gasping for air. Desolation of the mind will grip those that had a hand in the demise of their own children; those that promoted shots that ultimately, prematurely ended the lives of the precious ones God gave them as gifts. If they survive this guilt and shame drenched grieving, my prayer is that in their darkest moments of sorrow, they call out to God, telling Him they are sorry for trusting not Him, for believing not in His word, His will, His ways... My prayer is that they become the deafening voices against the perpetrators, the propagators, the true enemies of their soul...

It is always the saved, the rescued, that cannot help themselves from trying to the point of dying in some cases (martyrdom), to warn others of impending danger. Gratitude for grace and divine providence, impels the formerly lost, to convey what life is like after being set free: ask a Christian if they would ever go back to their former way of life, and you will hear them say with confidence, that the past has no pull, and being in Christ is incomparable to anything they have ever experienced before.

God in His steadfastness and mercy, always pursues wandering and lost lambs:

What think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish (Matthew 18:12-14)

Can you feel the beat?
For those that will experience sorrow that threatens life, know this about God Almighty:

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? (Psalm 58:8)

Know this dear one:
God sees your sorrow, catches your tears in His bottle, and they are recorded in His book

He sees your heart, knows your pain, and wants to comfort you in it

Note:
Perhaps you find Christians annoying, and wish they would stop beating the salvation drum? just know this, we cannot, we will not, and praise God, we hope one day you too, dance to the same drum beat 🎼
