O, how the morbid and macabre stench of death has curled its smoky tentacles, wending its way right into brains. Can you believe it, dear reader, you can purchase a planner for the specified purpose of recording your end of life events and um, plans? Since when did embracing death become so popular, so prevalent, that product manufactures have gotten in on the cashing out game, by providing writing materials for you and I to indulge our death dreams?
Nihilism: the rejection of all religious and moral principles in the belief that life is meaningless.
Death culture: dying is preferable to suffering; we get to choose death when and if we so desire; we are encouraged mostly by those in the medical and governmental systems (they are one and the same, dear reader) to take our own life, or to "assist" others in taking theirs, when a decision has been made that an individual is ready to go - these are my definitions. O, and this can all be done with clinic cleanliness, whilst soothing off you go to the dark side send off music plays in the background, and funeral flowers scent the air to cover the foulness of killing.
Death culture is a prideful expression of grandeur, posing as noble and kind, when in actuality, murder is afoot; self, and other, murder. Nihilism and death culture make a happy holding hands skip to hell couple. They are hideous, cruel, wretched examples of what society looks like when God is denied his rightful place in minds and hearts.
Killing and murder are not new, they are the offspring of atheism. If you do not believe life is your greatest God given gift, and that he and he alone has the right to give and take life, then you are amongst the many that think you are your own little autonomous god.
- When the going gets tough, and you feel as though you must not be made to endure hardship and suffering, have you decided that you will call the shots and call off your life, one way or another?
- Is it okay to kill some people, but not others ... is there some kind of sliding scale, and if so, who is in charge of determining the qualifications for keeping alive, or killing?
I could say I am miffed and mystified with what I am witnessing, and some days this is very true, but today I am slightly hard hearted. I think of all the opportunities God gives us to thank and praise him for all of our blessings, including his ever presence when we are in deep pain and soulful suffering, and it irritates me that people prefer to go there own way, forsaking themselves, casting off his generous caring, as though it means nothing.
Picture swatting away a hand holding food, extended to you while you languish in your bed; you are hungry but unable to stand long enough to make your own, but there is no way you will accept anything from HIM. Now see a glass filled with pure water, meant to replenish you following a night of fever, smacked away and shattering on the floor, water splattering everywhere, away from your dry mouth and bones, because you didn't want HIM to give it to you ...
Is your life, dear reader, a pearl? and are you, dear one, a swine, incapable of understanding the worth, the value, of your heart beat, your intake and outlet of breath, your blinking eyes, and tasting tongue, your fingers and toes reaching and touching ... do you not see how sweet it is to be you, and to have others in your life as reminders of how wonderful God Almighty truly is?
It is deployable to have arrived at our current state of being, where killing is more natural and acceptable than embracing life. Rather, we ought to be living with the purpose of loving God with all our minds, hearts, and souls communally, and loving our neighbours as ourselves, to Christ. Sigh ... I really hope this message hits the heart mark. I really hope that you know that God made you and that he has his own divinely perfect reasons for all that he does, including knitting you in your mother's womb however long ago that happens to be.
When you were a babe in arms, you had to trust whomever it was that held you. I ask you to be a babe in arms yet again, and trust in the One that made you, with your life, your death, and everything in between.
Mark 10:19
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour they father and mother
Recall
Nihilism: the rejection of all religious and moral principles in the belief that life is meaningless.
Satan wants you to believe your life is meaningless; that you are in charge of it.
Satan wants you to deny deity, and feel useless, purposeless, and disposable.
Satan wants you to cheat, kill, steal, lie, defraud, dishonour.
Satan is a murderer, and he wants you to be one too, of self, and other.
Satan wants you, dear one, to be complicit, captive, and criminally insane.
Satan cannot kill without human hands helping ...
God commands, Satan demands. One is known as Love, the other the father of lies. Isn't it time you put all your eggs in the God basket, and forsake the devil, his wiley ways, and all that the world has to offer you in the way of death culture?
God made you, and you can sort truth from lies, by reading The Word, knowing The Word, and dedicating your life to living according to The Word of Life. Let's hear from the love apostle:
1 John 1:1-3
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with the Son Jesus Christ
Trust in Jesus as your Saviour. Read your Bible, and embrace the Author and Word of Life, today.
